How Do You Get Done in 1 Year What They've Been Trying to Do Since 2007? - with Dr. Nerita Hughes, President, Bay de Noc Community College

It's YOUR time to #EdUp with Dr. Nerita Hughes, President, Bay de Noc Community College

In this episode, President Series #489, powered by Ellucian, sponsored by EdUp Leadership, the HigherEd PodCon II happening July 16 & 17, & the 2026 AcOps Conference July 29-31 by Coursedog

YOUR host is Dr. Joe Sallustio

• How does a president who navigates 2 campuses, 2 time zones & 54 miles in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan get an articulation agreement with all the trades done in 1 year when they had been trying since 2007?
• Why does the closest community college being 4 hours away & the housing overflow being a hotel across the street not stop you from elevating presence from local to statewide to national?
• What makes moving from the best kept secret to a destination require jumping in with both feet when you can't tip toe & see if the water is warm enough?
