Mr. Elvin R. Freytes is the co-founder & executive producer of The EdUp Experience Podcast, where he brings the most innovative leaders in higher education to the microphone. Since 2019, he has produced over 1,500 episodes. He has co-founded a higher education podcast network of over 20 shows, an international higher education podcast conference, & a higher education podcast association. With over 20 years of experience across the higher education landscape, Elvin has served institutions including Michigan State University, UC Berkeley, Columbia University, Boston University, Northeastern University, & the Manhattan School of Music. His expertise spans international student recruitment, admissions, financial aid, housing, & student affairs. Elvin has lived & taught in China, & has traveled extensively throughout Asia, South America, Europe, Africa, & Australia, bringing a global perspective to higher education. He earned his master's degree in student personnel administration from Teachers College, Columbia University, & his bachelor's degree in communication studies from Northeastern University

Co-Founder/Host: Dr. Joe Sallustio
Dr. Joe Sallustio is a highly respected and globally recognized voice and expert in higher education. His expertise in operations, finance, and academics — all critical functional areas in any college or university — places him in a select group of higher-education executives with leadership acumen across diverse areas. Having led teams in every function of university operation — in non-profit universities and for-profit colleges — he brings essential knowledge necessary to scale and operate institutions in the 21st century. With more than two decades of experience in higher education operations, Joe has led teams in marketing, enrollment, finance, financial aid, student services, student affairs, human resources, accreditation and compliance, business-to-business relationships, and product strategy. Specifically, his expertise in marketing, enrollment, and mergers and acquisitions within higher education has driven the success of the institutions in which he has served. Joe received his Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership from Northcentral University. He also holds an M.S. in Organizational Leadership (Strategic Human Resources Management) from Regis University & a B.S. in Speech Communications from the State University of New York College at Oneonta.
