87: BONUS: EdUp Embedded - A New Higher Education Learning Management System Plug-In - with Giovanni Estrada, Founder, FLO-OPS

Show notes

In this EdUp Embedded episode of The EdUp Experience, Giovanni Estrada, Founder, FLO-OPS and Dr. Joe Sallustio have a one-on-one about this new learning management system plug-in. They discuss how Giovanni came up with the idea, how it works and how it can be used in higher ed and beyond.  They also talk about how FLO-OPS can help with student engagement, retention and completion rates.

Giovanni’s interest in education began during his undergraduate career at the College of the Holy Cross. He studied abroad and interned as a math teacher at a middle school in Kibera in Nairobi, Kenya. Upon graduation, Gio moved to Milwaukee to teach 2nd grade Math and Spanish to an underserved community in the South Side of Milwaukee. Being a first-generation college graduate, he always remembers how much his single mother emphasized the value of education. This fueled his drive to share the keys to success with younger generations. Gio strongly believes everyone should have the proper resources to succeed in higher education, regardless of their background.
