This is The EdUp Experience President Series Episode #43. In this episode of The EdUp Experience, we welcome Dr. Carlos Campo, President of Ashland University!
Carlos talks about the impact of mental health issues and how they've created a crisis point for students which has prompted Ashland to add a myriad of student support services. Ashland believes in "character education" where the accent is on the individual. Ashland has the largest correctional education program in the country - and it did not stop during CV-19 due to the investments in technology. It's also helped them maintain growth during uncertain times.
Dr. Carlos Campo began his term as the 30th president of Ashland University on June 1, 2015, and brings a wealth of experience to this role, including serving as president of Regent University. For the past year, Dr. Campo has been working as an educational consultant for the Gates Foundation and serving as chair of the Alliance for Hispanic Education for the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference in Sacramento, Calif.
